second wound issue

      Here is the wound I am assuming the band port is sewn into behind this scar, however if you look close you can see there is a hard stitch protruding through its irritating and its starting to go red and sometimes bleeds when it catches on closes etc. advice please. stitch poking out through tummy

      Hi Karen

      Yes that is most certainly the end of the dissolvable suture.  If it’s causing irritation it needs trimming off to the skin surface.  I would cover it with a dressing for now to stop it catching and book a soon appointment with your clinic nurse so she can trim this down for you.

      It looks a nice clean wound which is good 👍🏻 xx
