      Hi Karen

i would advise you clean the wound with water and apply an inadine dressing and a mepore ontop for protection… this will  help kill any infection on the skin surface and clean the wound up.   If you have an widespread redness to the area you really need to get someone to check you out and make sure you don’t need antibiotics…

can I ask which wound it is…??  Is it the large wound or one of the smaller ones..?? xx

Awww Ok so I’m guessing that’s around your portsite location…??   If the inadine doesn’t dry things up or you get any additional redness/swelling/pain to the area you need to get it checked out.    If your wound is infected you want to nip it at the bud with antibiotics at the soonest…. you don’t want anything transmitting to your port

how does it look today..?? xx
