      Hi everyone,

I’ve been a bit sore the last 24 hours and this morning have realised one of my wounds has opened up. It’s not really bleeding but it’s a bit oozy.

Ive called the urgent weight loss number  several times and left a message but no one has called back.
Any advice? I do not fancy venturing out to A&E….

      thanks

Hi , the same has happened to me today I spoke to a few people on here and they advised me to cover it up to avoid infection pled look out for redness around the wound and puss oozing it might just be the scab has come off or u may have catched it in the night, ty not to panic straight away like I did

      bev xx

Hi Charlotte – I would for sure put a dressing back over it to protect it and maybe try and get into your clinic nurse tomorrow if things haven’t dried up for a wound assessment and she can give you a dressing plan or swab it should she need to make sure not down to infection

Make sure you taking things easy, twisting and bending can put added pressure on your wounds, it might of been that you turned over in bed or something, pulling the top layer of skin apart

Do let us know how you get on xx

      Hey,

I went to the clinic yesterday and had everything cleaned and redressed.
Im so happy today she said I could take all the dressings off apart from that one and have a proper shower.

      I’m like a new woman!
Still a bit tender everywhere which I expect is totally normal though.

That’s great news Charlotte – you are getting back to normal now. Nothing like a nice shower to help with that. The tenderness shouldn’t be for too much longer now xx
