Hi everyone! I’ve just joined today and was banded on 30th October in Leeds. Does anyone share my date?
Surgery was fine, recovered perfectly. Was up and about and at work day 3. Had no trapped wind or uncomfort etc. Feel really lucky.
I have been Following the post op diet but I have hunger now. On waking my stomach growls etc. It’s becoming harder to just have liquids and foods like mash now. Any tips?

Hi Jennifer, I have one scheduled for the 12th December. I may call my provider and see if they have an earlier one.
When are you getting your band? Xx

Hiya!
The post op diet is soooo hard! I was starving 4 days after my surgery!! I did things like homemade cheese and broccoli soups and just made them a little thicker to try to fill me up (add potatoes when cooking).
Try custard and angel delight also for a treat after soup dinners. You can cook a roast dinner and blend it down with stock in a blender till it’s a smooth custard consistency (although it is very hard to cook a roast dinner and not eat it!!). Ice lollies are a godsend also!
Other than that, just keep drinking as much fluid as you can as it helps with the hunger pangs!
Hope these ideas help!! You’ll feel so much better when you can get some mushy food in you!

Hi Guys. Welcome to BandBoozled!!
It can be so hard on the liquid phase when your hunger comes back – it’s a good sign though – shows all the swelling around the band site is going down and everything is healing.
Make sure you have enough protein on this stage – milk, meal replacements , pouring yoghurt, thin, smooth yoghurts and pulse based soups. Skimmed milk powder can also be added to other liquids to increase the protein content
Have a good read through the START section of the site and the liquid info in The Kitchen xx

Hi Jennifer. Hopefully you will get a date confirmed soon.
You will need to take it easy after the surgery – usually we say nothing too strenuous for the first 2 weeks. Just take it slow and shout for help when you need it xx

You’ll be fine Jennifer 😁 good luck! Advice I have is when able to sip water and mobilise well. Are you travelling with someone ? I have twins boys at 3 and a just turned 5 year old ans they understood more than i thought about me being ‘poorly’ I’m gonna ring up and see if I can move the fill forward.
