okay so I’ve stocked up on everything from the kitchen menu section and more besides! I’m making homemade mushroom soup for dinner from the bbc good food guide and have sugar free jelly in the fridge! My first day out after surgery and I was like a kid in a sweet shop (not quite) as soon as I’m on solids, I’m off to Miller and Carter, who’s coming? Thinking about it, do we have band socials? If not, we should 😊

Really good point Sarah – something we def want to do in the future. We are hoping at some point to get a mapping section on the site do we can all see if there are others on here that live near them. Easier to sort meet ups.
Well done on planning and organisation – you will be on solids before you know it. Xx

Can’t wait, the mushroom soup was delish 😋
can just imagine us all going for a meal, marching in with our little plates and cutlery 😂 we should canvass restaurants and ask them if they will put a band/bariatric section on menus so that will attract us bandies xx

That would be amazing – instead of everyone having to order kids meals – we don’t all want fish fingers all the time 😩😩. That’s if the restaurant will even prepared to let you have a kids meal xx

I think they’re missing a different market sector. Bariatric surgery is becoming more popular, it doesn’t have to be a kids meal or a kids price, just a small main. Then people who have had surgery would be more likely to want to dine out. I’m going to start speaking to my local restaurants in Middlewich and when I’m out and about.
there may even be some kind of incentive for them, perhaps a bandboozled restaurant approved section, so that when us bandies are out and about we know which restaurants are band friendly? X

We hear you Sarah….!! eating out for people with a band can turn into a nightmare situation…!!!! because restaurants are not on board… its all about big meals…!!! no wonder people are put off eating out and obesity is escalating… good for you seeking local restaurants… we would love to help change the vision of big meals and would support any incentives you get on board
Small portions are the future – its just about getting the rest of the world onboard..!!!!
In the meantime order your starter as your main and stand your ground gorgeous people xx
