      Hi Cheryl

Congratulations on your surgery and welcome to the site.  Hopefully you’re home and settled now..??

Check out ‘The Start’  section… this will help you over the next 6 weeks in what to expect following your surgery

Check out the Kitchen for some liquid ideas and meal plans from our dietitian Sue.

Sip nice and slow and steady and keep us updated…!!

      Exciting times ahead xx

Congratulations ! I had mine done 3 weeks ago. I found the first five days abit tough but everyones different, I suffered really badly with wind pains so deffo arm yourself with lots wind relieving meds 🙊 I just kept sipping at water and having little bits of soup the first few days. I found milky products made me feel sick. Like I say though everyones different. Deffo if you can keep moving around, I found I had to sleep in a more upright position thr first few nights. Now I’m 3 weeks done the line and feel great . This site is fantastic lots of help and support on here.

Hope your home and settled xx

That’s always a good sign of healing when you heard your patients getting fed up of the liquids haha…  1 week down 1 to go… half way there not long now 👍🏻

Make sure your varying up your fluids, Ones with plenty of taste, might help

Glad to hear your feeling well too xx

It will fly by. You can try a little low fat custard, thin yoghurt or sugar free jelly if the liquids are going down ok   Tiny amounts in ure spoon and a 20 sec rest between spoons xx
