Hi please can someone advise me I am two weeks post op just started today my mashed up food. This morning I had one egg scrambled with a little advocado mashed. Lunch one small potato mashed with two table spoons of beans and tea has been a very small portion of shepherds pie. I am feeling hungry but scared to eat too much as I have been losing weight really well and scared I will put it on. Do you have any ideas. Thanks kelly

Hi Kelly. It is normal for your hunger to return – it’s just a sign everything is healing well. Since you are having very small portions too it’s not enough to make you feel satisfied. Until you have had a few band fills and it is optimally adjusted the band might not be able to help you much. But you will get there – keep positive It’s fab you are losing weight so keep at it xx
in the meantime you may need to increase your portions a little or build in healthy snacks between meals – stewed fruit, mashed banana, high protein yoghurts. Have lots of soft veg with meals
Also have a look in The Kitchen for meal plans and recipes for more ideas xx

Exactly what bandboozled said, if it were me idd intoduce a few snacks inbetween i would keep my portions small. They sell portion plates on here why dont you get one and keep to that even though you wont be restricted at least you can keep hold and control over your portions with the plate. And when your at optimum level the plate will probably be to big hehe. Oh to be 2 weeks post op again with all my goals and positive mind set hehe. Cant wait to hear all your fab experiences with the band xxx

Just add 2 100 cal or less snacks if that dosnt help have a slighly bigger portion like what you would give a toddler and after your fills youll get there. Its normal to gain weight in the next few food transitions. Dont worry your gona do amazing xxx
