Well finally I am here day 2 post op ,

I hd a hiatus hernia which needed repairing as well during my op (i didn’t know about this) I am just wondering if anyone else has had this done with the band and how it affected recovery ?

I am ok other than the wind pain (expected) and my left arm feels hot, but im just plodding through my day trying to keep mobilising  and sipping what fluids I can.

      Hi Joanne

Great news you’ve had your surgery, onwards n upwards.  HH repairs at the point of surgery are quite common so I wouldn’t be too concerned about this… it maybe that you just have a wait an additional week or 2 before you start your fills to allow the stomach to heal,  but this is pretty much it.   It maybe worth asking your provider about your surgeons recommendation on this too, so you can follow his guidance.

Keep sipping the fluids slow n steady and your doing the best thing by keeping up and mobile…take some wind preps too….still early days but hopefully each day will bring an improvement.   Have you read ‘the start’ section… this is a great guide for over the next few weeks

keep posting and we wish you a speedy wind n pain free recovery 😘 xx

      Thank you so much 🙂

Im finding it a little easier now, each day getting stronger and more with it.

I will contact my provider re Band Fill as I already had my first scheduled – may need to revise that then…

      Jo
