Summer Fun

Aren’t the summer months the best time to get outdoors and get active. Any activity at all will help with weight loss so make the most of summer. Try these to get you moving:

  • A nice bike ride with the kids
  • A long, leisurely walk in the summer weather
  • You could try a bootcamp class if it’s possible – more appealing outdoors now that the cold, winter has gone
  • Make up a treasure hunt for the kids in a local park and get them running around looking for clues
  • Join a running club if you like company and use the lighter nights to get fit and healthy
  • Try some old-fashioned games outside to keep the kids and yourself active – skipping, hopscotch, Tag
  • If the kids have a trampoline – get bouncing – it can be fun for all the family
  • If you are going on holiday try and do a little more activity – swimming in the pool or sea, more walking whilst out sightseeing
  • Go out for a game of tennis or football


Any activity is great – it will get you outdoors, get you moving and burn off extra calories helping you manage your weight more effectively
