Week Six – Get Summer Ready – By Mamuna

Get Ready for Summer!

Some pointers for staying motivated and prioritising your Last-minute Summer Beauty Hacks?

With summer rapidly approaching, now is the time to begin preparing your body for the upcoming season. When summer arrives, women tend to go out, modify their diets, and switch up their skincare routines; however, why not get your body summer ready well in advance? You'll stay away from common skincare blunders, tone up your physique, and be ready to visit the beach as soon as the weather permits.

Check out what you should do in the months ahead, to get your body summer ready. Are you willing to take on the challenge? If you don't have weeks to spare for beach perfection, try the following programme for immediate results!

Healthy Eating - Increase your diet of fruits and vegetables to cleanse your body, boost your health, and maintain a healthy weight. There are numerous spring/summer fruits and vegetables, ranging from asparagus to strawberries, that you can incorporate into your daily meals and beverages. Fruits and vegetables are high in vitamins and minerals and can be used in a variety of ways. Consider creating your own juices, smoothies, and salads, and snacking on fresh fruit or vegetables whenever you're hungry. More fruits and vegetables in your diet daily will help you enhance your skin, hair, mental and physical health, and burn calories.

Get Active - If you want to tone up your physique, don't just wing it and hope for the best. Plan an excellent fitness regimen and follow it every day. Exercise is one of the most effective ways to lose weight, decrease stress, and combat weariness and anxiety. Walking, jogging, running, swimming, and yoga are all excellent exercises to incorporate into your routine. To get your body beach ready in a month, workout for at least 30 minutes in the morning and 40 minutes in the evening.

Zap unwanted hair -If you are currently, on a course of Laser Hair Removal treatment, be sure to have your last session at least 2 weeks before going away on holiday and resume at least 2-4 weeks post-holiday.

If you are not, there are many other hair removal methods to try, such as waxing, shaving, threading, plucking, sugaring and many more. Choose your perfect hair removal method to enjoy smooth, hair-free skin during the summer season.

Banish Cellulite - Dry body brushing is great for stimulating the blood circulation and encouraging the body to get rid of toxins. Dry body brushing should always be done before showering so you can wash off any impurities afterwards. Use long, sweeping strokes and light pressure.

Scrub up! - Exfoliate twice a week to remove dead skin cells and maintain silky skin. You want to make sure your body looks amazing because bikini season is approaching. Pay special attention to your elbows, knees, and soles when exfoliating, as they are always drier. To avoid skin irritations, don't exfoliate excessively. Exfoliate once a week with a light scrub if your skin is extremely sensitive.

Moisturise your Face and Body - While it is important to drink enough water on a regular basis regardless of the season, your body may require extra fluid in the spring and summer. Your skin will seem unhealthy if you are dehydrated. You have acne and saggy skin if your skin looks unhealthy. Invest in a good moisturiser to keep your body hydrated and make your skin glow. Look for a moisturiser with SPF 30 to protect your skin from the sun. A high-quality moisturiser helps to prevent premature aging as well.

Applying fake tan is a must before you hit the beach as it will make your body look healthy and instantly boost your confidence. Before applying fake tan it is important to exfoliate your skin to ensure you achieve an even look. Apply the tan like you would a body moisturiser; once your skin is dry, apply a little body lotion to your elbows, knees, heels and ankles to help prevent these areas from developing a darker tan than the rest of your skin.

Hair Care- Summer beach hair is an opportunity to get creative and try something new! Try going for a boho wavy look or a very on-trend slicked ponytail always works well and is easily achieved. Start by applying a good “leave in” conditioner before going out in the sun and comb through the lengths and ends.

Own it! Wear something you feel comfortable. Don’t be tricked into following the latest fashion trends. Always opt for swimwear that compliments your body.

Make a Statement – invest in bold colours, bring the summer vibe and sprinkle it into your wardrobe this season. Enhance your personality and attitude with a flash of inspiration and finesse. Remember, your style is yours and it’s unique.

Enjoy yourself! Focus on feeling good about yourself. Even though time has run out for diet and exercise regimes all is not lost!

“Boost your confidence and Set yourself the challenge by planning and organising your time to reach your beach body goals way ahead of time.”
