Constipation can be unpleasant, uncomfortable and painful – some great advice here already. In short its usually a 4 step process to help:
Increase fibre – fruit, veg, salad, pulses and wholegrains etc
Increase fluid – the extra fibre won’t work without a good fluid intake
Regular meals – skipping meals may may things worse
Medications – see you pharmacist if the above hasn’t helped
And remember not to cut the carbs altogether – they are a great source of energy, fibre if you choose the right ones and vitamins xx
