Long term Diet

Once you are back on a normal diet your meals and foods should be textured. This means they shouldn’t be soft, sloppy or liquid and they should be solid, hard, dry crunchy or chewy.

So every meal should have a bite or crunch to it. So for example Muesli is better than Weetabix, a sandwich is better than soup and a stir fry is better than a fish pie. However if you like certain foods you can add the crunch to it – add a chopped apple to the Weetabix, a crusty cob to the soup and crunchy veg on the side of a fish pie. There is a lot to learn with the Band but have a look in the Kitchen for some textured recipes and meal ideas
