Getting Ready for Surgery

Use the time before your surgery to make some goals and get prepared.  For example :

  • Aim to be more active in the long term and sort an exercise plan
  • Try cooking more – healthy, tasty recipes
  • Cut down on junk foods
  • View what you eat as fuel for your body – eat plenty of protein foods
  • Get prepared – sort out your supplements with your GP before your surgery
  • Buy in some wind remedies ( gripe water, windeze ) ready for post – op
  • Make some bean based blended soups and freeze ready for the post op diet
  • Tidy your cupboards – get rid of the high calorie snack foods, fizzy drinks, sugary foods etc

There’s no denying the pre – op diet is strict and hard going but that’s what is getting you to your surgery and on to the next chapter of your life

Exciting times ahead – Make this be your year. Set your weight loss goals and shout for help if you need it
